About

Janie, LIam and I at the Oregon Zoo. Summer 2011

My passion for sewing began at the age of 12. In 1982, (the epic year that I bought my first leg warmers) the world was obsessed with big hair, acid wash jeans and bold sweaters while I was busy inventing ways to make my clothes have some real style… Fast-forward twenty something years; I am now armed with a BS in Apparel Design and Manufacturing & proud to say that I sew much straighter lines than I did in ’82! Inspiration for my retro/funky style comes from my daughter, Jane Pearl and son, Liam Vincent, and from the classic styling of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. I use old-school techniques and notions when I produce my products; they withstand wash after wash, and can be passed down from kid to kid!

  1. Do you do holiday gift shows. Our Soroptimists organization in Sequim, WA is looking for vendors for our Dec. 1 show. I love your product. Vendor booths are $40.00 and if you are interested, please contact me at ljk1551@live.com

    • I am sorry, I do not live in Washington anymore. I will pass the information off to my crafty friends out west though 🙂
